My gay best friend has been sad for almost a year because of his stupid ex-boyfriend who uses him and then throws him away like trash.
I wish he would open his eyes and see that there is someone else out there who would never hurt him, even if that person can't be me, there is another man out there that would love him and care for him so much more.
He doesn't deserve this.
I don't know what to do to help him.

Don't let your friend take this.
Talk to them-let them know you care about them and you love them and you don't want to see them hurt.
Also, get your friend to talk this guy-this guy, if he's using your friend and hurting him, he's just, to put it bluntly, a complete and utter ass. This ex-boyfriend is obviously not worth it if he can't see the good things in your friend. Sounds like the ex-boyfriend deserves a good smack round the face.
Message for your mate;
Don't let this guy hurt you. You're better than that, you deserve better. Trust me, the sooner you let this jerk go, the sooner you meet someone who IS worth it, because that person will treat you with respect. Heck, you've already got someone like this; he posted this bomb!!!
