I am very happy with my boyfriend. we have a 12 year age gap. that isn't so bad if i wasn't 16 when i met him. we are still together after 4 years. the problem is its a secret, my dad knows about it (i told him out of guilt), but he wasn't angry but rather upset. and his the greatest dad of all and now he looks at me with those sad eyes. it's like i can see how horrible things are and he didn't have a clue that its happening right under his nose.
i can't even look him in the eye.
i don't know how this will end up, but i want to give up because its so hard. will i choose my dad or my lover.

Im actually a 20 year old guy with the same problem. Tho there is no age gap between me and my girlfriend of 3 years I feel torn between her and my dad. Shes a real bitch and tries to control me in every way. I just cant get the courage to get rid of her. Its like im addicted to her. I love my dad and want to spend as much time with him while I still can. So i wont say I know what your going through but I support your decision in you chosing your dad.

talk to your dad about how you feel. if he is really a great dad he'll understand you. even though it might not solve the problem, it will give you room to breathe and make a decision.
no one that really loves you makes you choose.

he never wanted me to choose, the boyfriend. although i feel i need to choose. because dad looks so sad. he said he'll understand but hey, i can see. i can feel.
