when I see some dads who are so openly caring to their children, and committed to being there for them, seem like fun and would be happy to take them down to the park just to play or kick around a football, I wish they were my dad. I feel guilty, but my dad is more like an occasional friend. I don't look up to him or aspire to be like him, and sometimes I think it would be easier if I didn't see him again.


So when I see an affectionate and fun dad I am secretly thinking how much I wish I was that child...
