I'm deeply in love with my best friend, and I haven't had the courage to tell her how I feel. I think she knows though. It's kind of obvious. My love is unrequited, and she has a boyfriend already. Today, February 14th, I just found out that she is getting married. She's marrying the guy, and she just met him 6 months ago. I currently have a girlfriend, but the only reason I'm with her is so I can forget the woman I love. My girlfriend doesn't know that, but I will tell her. She doesn't deserve what I'm doing to her. I have never felt like this in my whole life. I'm devastated.

2 comments (post a new comment)... I can relate, even though when that happened for me I was 15 (16 now). I'm female, he's a male.
I guess the only thing you can do now is be happy that she's happy... because doing anything contrary would mean you didn't really love her. Only lusted for her. Trying to 'steal her back' would only devastate another man in love with a great woman whom you supposedly love (in that potential situation I mean), as well as potentially end your friendship with her if it doesn't work out.
Just be happy for her, don't start tension between her husband and you, because that also could ruin your friendship, and learn to find someone else to love.
HOWEVER... when I say that, I mean find a different love. Someone to love in a different way than this girl. Don't just find some clone of your friend to compensate... that's horrible, as well as degrading that hypothetical girl as a human being.
Find a girl who fills a different space than your friend. One that she doesn't or couldn't fill. I say let go of your current friend.
Fall in love with a girl... madly in love with her, and make sure she loves you back.

Maybe the two of you will both be single again someday at the same time. Meanwhile, move on.
