I know a family who had a daughter. She could sing like a dream. She didn't want fame or fortune, just wanted a musical life, whatever that may be.
But she was taught only to hate herself. Belittled for her gift and her spirit was crushed and broken.
They finally convinced her of her own unworthiness for anything and she gave up.
A minimum wage dead end job was her reward.
But at least all the people who were jealous and hated her were made glad.
What's the point of being born talented when everyone around you sees it as something to hate and destroy?

It's so easy to listen to others but we forget a lot of people have absolutely no self esteem and think because they feel worthless that no one else should feel good or be successful. It's sad but true. Besides, I'd rather be hated for what I am than liked for what i'm not. ^^

Omg seriously! You HAVE a point. Ok, teenage jealous girls are fucking dangerous. I am very good looking, and my dreams to become a model( which when i did do two photoshoots, girls got jealous and suddelny i was a worthless slut, who would never be anything) may just have been disinigrated because of jealous girls.

Exactly ms ally. I don't know you at all but that is what it sound like. They couldn't handle that you were not only beautiful enough but confident enough to model. Do you still model? I'd love to get on the ground floor of seeing the birth of a celeb. If you threw up a link or two of some of your work i'd love to check it out. And dun worry, i'm not some pervy old guy (aren't they the worst? I mean gah, right like i'm gonna swipe my v-card with some creeper 3x my age). I'm just curious about modeling is all.
