I am quitting my addiction
Posted On Sunday, November 1, 2009
To sleep. I am going to give up sleeping because it is such a waste of time and I have tried so hard to be successful in life but don't have time for all the requirements of work, school, second job, learning beyond school and doing all the required networking (launch parties, luncheons, meetings off work, etc) to stay successful at work, so I'm quitting the one thing that gives me no benefit- sleeping takes away from my time to be productive. I don't exercize at all and I've had a gym membership for 2+ years! Once I quit I will have time to do what I already do PLUS work out, clean house and learn stuff I'm not taking classes for in college.

Your brain needs down-time to process the information you take in during the day. Your body needs down-time to repair itself from daily wear and tear. Lack of sleep results in decreased levels of serotonin and increased levels of cortisol - making you cranky and making you gain weight.
To reiterate - yeah, good luck with that. I'm not trying to be mean, just honest.

Technically I agree with beentheredonethat, but you know what? I heard sleeping as little as possible can help you live longer! Wouldn't that be ironic?
Just something I heard monks sometimes subscribe to.

Snappy, you hate monks! LOL! I'm surprised you're not telling the monks to get plenty of extra sleep, at all available opportunities! You're so cute though!
