You are almost absolutely wrong. Please don't project your negative outlook; and hence, negative assumptions on to everyone else because you, much like myself, certainly cannot speak for "most of us."

Why do you come here and read "CONFESSIONS," not once, but repeatedly, if you find them boring and don't care? There are plenty of other things you can do with a computer and the internet, are there not?


Unquestionably, some confessions/posts are for attention. And some just need to vent.

But make no mistake: people, more than ever, feel alone, empty, and hopeless. Sometimes empathy is all that people need just to reassure them that they ARE "normal" in order to begin the long process of healing with growth. This, hardly, is always tantamount to attention-seeking.

this is a site where you can post secrets , this is obviously their secret .. even I , at times , feel the same way when I come across some people's secrets; this being one of the most honest and unexaggerated of them all , in my opinion. so don't act all offended just because they don't want to write about how their lover dumped them or whatever , but instead chose to write about how they feel when they read secrets.

Ms. Annabell Lee, we don't have a problem with them expressing their opinion--to each his own, pathetic though it is. We don't even care if they confess a sour love affair, or not.

What is highly offensive to us is the idea that this "honest" and "unexaggerated" opinion, stated dogmatically, couldn't be more wrong. It is indeed his/her honest opinion, but it is certainly an exaggeration to say that "MOST" of us find these confessions "boring" or that we simply "don't care." It is also the author's own personal opinion, though wrong, to assume that the confessors here are nothing more than simply attention-seeking whiners.

These comments are amusing. Obviously we are all here reading confessions to either be titillated, or to investigate if there are people out there with sicker thoughts or experiences than we have.
