A bomb is, simply put, a confession. A bomb could be dropped on you (a friend confessing a secret) or you can drop a bomb on someone else (you confessing a secret). Droppedthebomb.com is a forum for sharing stories of when you either dropped a bomb or had a bomb dropped on you.

A "bomber" is someone who dropped a bomb, whereas a "bombee" is someone who had a bomb dropped on them.

We do not ask you for your name or email address, and we do not publish any information about you. If you're concerned about your identity, use fake names in place of the real people in your bombs, and don't give out any identifying information in your bombs (name, address, phone number, blog, myspace, website links, etc).

This site is meant to be a place to get and give advice. Chances are, you are not alone in your situation. Sharing your bomb can give others insight on how to approach the same type of situation, or others who have been in your shoes can tell you how they got through it. This is a community site for sharing experiences, and it depends on everyone sharing their bombs.

If you see a bomb that is threatening or harassing, please click the "Flag bomb as inappropriate" link at the bottom of the bomb. This will send our editors an email letting us know you're concerned about the content of the bomb. Inappropriate bombs could be physical threats regarding the poster or others, bombs posted for the sole purpose of harassing other bombers, bomb confessions that could be potentially dangerous, or bombs that endorse illegal activities. If a bomb fits any of these groups, or if you're not sure, please report it to us. Upon review, our editors will decide if the bomb will need to be removed or not.

You enter in tags when you're posting a bomb. On the bottom of the form is section titled "Tag Your Bomb". Enter single word tags, separated by spaces, into the box provided.

Sometimes bombs will be removed if they have been reported as being inappropriate and/or violate our Terms Of Use. Removal of bombs are at our editors' full discretion. If you feel your bomb was removed unfairly, please contact us with information about your bomb and we will get back to you on why your bomb was removed.
